Our Women's Retreats are held at Camp Mowana, Fleming Falls Retreat Center in Mansfield, Ohio.  Nestled on 183 acres in the woods near Mohican State Park, the Retreat Center offers comfortable, motel-like accommodations in a beautiful, natural setting.    During our weekend retreat, we are the only group in the facility, which provides a comfortable home-like environment for fellowship and study.  For more information on the Retreat Center, go to www.mowana.com/facilities/ffrc.html.

Our next Women's Retreat will be held February 10-12, 2012.

St. Luke Women's Retreat

February 11-13, 2011

Being a Vessel for His Honor

Yet, by doing good, he has given evidence of his existence. He gives you rain from heaven
and crops in their seasons. He fills you with food and your lives with happiness. Acts 14:17

Surrounded by the beauty of God’s handiwork in nature, 39 women came together at Fleming Falls Retreat Center in Mansfield, Ohio, to begin a new adventure in serving Christ. Women of St. Luke and seven other area churches --friends old and new, mothers and daughters, daughters-in-law and sisters -- joined together for a weekend of renewal, fellowship and learning as we explored Being a Vessel For His Honor.

Through discussion of The Debt, by Angela Hunt, the Retreat study focused on hearing from God and being motivated by His desire to show love to a lost world. We explored ways to step out of our comfort zone, release limitations, and let God do His work through us.

Presentations by Helping Hands Free Clinic and Gracehaven representatives brought to light just a few of the many needs in our community, and presented opportunities to step out and be a vessel for God’s honor. A big thank you to all those attending for the generous gift of office supplies for Helping Hands Free Clinic, and the monetary donations given to Gracehaven totaling $463.00.

Many women participated in tying quilts over the weekend. Blessings were prayed over these blankets during the Sunday morning worship service, and they will be presented to residents of Broadview Health Center.

We are all standing on the brink of a new adventure in Christ! Thanks be to God.
