What are your assumptions about Jesus?

Whether you're just beginning the seeking journey or you've followed Jesus for decades, the Reset journey will challenge all of us to confront our expectations and discover (or rediscover) our own beliefs about the most influential person in history.

Let’s hit the reset button, or begin for the first time to discover our own beliefs about the most influential person in history. Let’s unclutter our assumptions of Jesus, go deeper than pop spirituality and push through the stained-glass sound bytes. Let’s meet-or re-meet-the God who got dirty with the world. The man people ran to, and ran from. The man who captured boats, ate meals with crooks and call girls, threw hillside parties, made kings panic. The man who brought the world an outlandish message and then said,

“Follow me.”
What is a journey?
A journey focuses the entire church on one topic for six weeks. Everyone—from kids to the old folks—is on the same page, learning about the same topics and growing in similar ways. A journey consists of three parts: the weekend message, individual reading and reflection, and small group interaction. If you've got more questions, get some answers over here.

StartingJanuary 10th for six weeks our St. Luke family will undertake a Reset journey! We hope you’ll find this journey refreshing as we challenge you to look at your assumptions boldly in the eye and decide what really sticks.

If you are not in a small group, Reset is a great way to try one out. We will provide opportunities on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings to interact with a group at church; OR hook you up with a group that meets at another time. Small groups are set up to be a fun, safe and informational place for you to grow in the context of community.

In the coming few weeks you’ll be able to sign-up for a group on the back of your Welcome Place Card. Hosts for new groups will also be needed. Prayerfully consider where the Holy Spirit is leading you as we move into 2010!
