Children and Family Ministry Director

St. Luke Lutheran Church, Columbus, OH is seeking a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper:

  • Enters, verifies authorization and files invoices and vouchers.

  • Writes and distributes checks in a timely manner, including payroll.

  • Enters and updates employee information.

  • Receives time sheets for hourly employees.

  • Makes payroll tax payments after each pay period and makes pension payments.

  • Completes on-line state and federal tax reports each quarter. 

  • Produces financial reports requested by the church council.

  • Prepares monthly treasurer reports for the church council.

  • Prepares the financial statistics for the annual report. 

  • Oversees the Huntington premier savings and checking accounts, makes appropriate transfers between the two.

  • Communicates with the collections team and keeps records of transactions between contributions and expenditures.

  • Acts member of the Finance Committee.

  • Prepares bank reconciliations monthly.

  • All other duties as assigned.

This is a part-time position expected to work 12 hours a week and is supervised by and reports to the Senior Pastor.
