Why is community so important to your spiritual life?

Because you can't grow spiritually unless you're connected relationally. God designed you that way. He wants to use other people to grow you and he wants to use you to grow other people.

What does a typical group meeting look like?

Group meetings consist of three elements:

Sharing - unstructured time when you connect relationally and talk about what's going on in your lives.

Study/Discussion - time you spend studying the Bible, a book, a video series, or a curriculum.

Prayer - time you spend sharing prayer requests and praying for one another.

You can decide as a group how you want to work these three elements into your meetings, but a typical 90 minute group meeting might consist of 30 minutes of sharing, 45 minutes of study and discussion, and 15 minutes of sharing prayer requests and praying.
